As the Chief Financial Officer for Sarasota County, the Clerk and Comptroller oversees the preparation and presentation of Sarasota County's financial statements, in accordance with guidelines established by the Government Accounting Standards Board, and other authoritative bodies.
Digital Assurance Certification
Digital Assurance Certification LLC (DAC), an Ernst & Young LLP Company, provides investors with "one-stop shopping" for issuer information filings, including Sarasota County's official statements, disclosure information and annual financial statements.
Annual Comprehensive Financial Report
The Annual Comprehensive Financial Report has been prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles as required by Florida Statute 218.32. This report provides a detailed view into the financial results and position of Sarasota County, FL, and is consistently awarded the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.
Consolidated Major Revenue and Debt Report
The Consolidated Major Revenue and Debt Report is prepared to identify and explain the nature, collection history, legal authorization, uses and restrictions of Sarasota County's primary revenue sources. The report also provides information on all outstanding county indebtedness,as well as an overview of Sarasota County's arbitrage issues.
IMPACT Report
The IMPACT Report, also known as the Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR), summarizes the financial activities of Sarasota County in a condensed and simplified manner. The report is designed to provide the citizens of Sarasota County with a better understanding of where county revenues come from and how those dollars were spent during the fiscal year.
Monthly Investment Summary Report
The Monthly Investment Summary Report illustrates, not only Sarasota County's investment portfolio composition and yield results, but also provides an economic overview of the U.S. economy.
Monthly Financial Report
The Monthly Financial Report provides information about selected revenue sources and expenditure information, as well as grant information. The report is intended to give an overall financial perspective and comparison to prior year's revenue at a certain point in time.
