Student Volunteer and Internship Programs
The Student Volunteer Program offers high school students the opportunity to earn community service credits by performing clerical and customer service duties in a challenging work environment. Credits can be applied towards Florida Bright Futures or other scholarships. Volunteers meeting the requirements of the program may also receive a special Certificate of Achievement to add to their college application packet.
The Clerk and Comptroller's Internship Program provides high school and college students the opportunity to acquire valuable work skills and experience toward their chosen career path. Whether assisting the office to maintain access to public information, accuracy in records keeping, financial accountability or implementing efficiencies that save taxpayer dollars, you'll make an impact on the community as you learn what the Clerk and Comptroller's office really does to meet the needs of the people. Interns are offered a competitive hourly wage and flexible work schedule assisting Court Services, Human Resources, Finance, and support departments throughout the organization.
Adult Volunteer Programs
The Adult Volunteer Program enables citizens to enrich their lives by sharing their time and talents with the community. Citizens are encouraged to apply if they enjoy assisting customers who need help navigating Clerk and Comptroller services. Volunteers may perform duties such as greeting and guiding customers to appropriate Clerk and Comptroller personnel, as well as assisting with administrative duties. Adult volunteer opportunities vary and may be available in Jury, Public Access, Customer Service, Traffic and Fines, Recording, and Civil Docketing departments.
