Court Date Information

If you are the defendant and you received a Notice to Appear from Law Enforcement or were released from jail, the paperwork that was provided to you will include your next court date and location to appear. The document will be titled either "Notice to Appear", "Florida Uniform Traffic Citation", or "Complaint Summons/Civil Citation".

You can also access upcoming court date information by visiting ClerkNet. Search for your case by defendant name or by case number. Once you select your case, scroll to see the Case Events section, this will show all scheduled court events with the time and location.

Get Reminders of Upcoming Court Hearings

e-notify is a free event notification service that offers email and text reminders of upcoming scheduled criminal court hearings for registered users. Watch a video demonstrating how to sign up and subscribe to court event hearings.

NOTE: The e-Notify service is not a substitute for formal notice of court events. Parties will continue to receive notification of court events from the Clerk and Comptroller by mail.

If you are still unable to find your court date information or need further assistance you can contact the Clerk and Comptroller's Office at (941) 861-7400. To facilitate your request, please have the name of the defendant and case number available at the time of your call.

Cash Bond Returns

Florida Statutes 903.286, 27.52, and 938.29 authorizes the Clerk of the Circuit Court and County Comptroller to deduct any unpaid costs of prosecution, costs of representation, court fees, and criminal penalties from the Cash Appearance Bond.

If you have additional questions, or it is past the 30th business day following final disposition, you may call the Clerk and Comptroller's office at (941) 861-7400. To facilitate your request, please have the name of the defendant, case number and bond number available at the time of your call.

Court Ordered Sealing or Expunging a Criminal Record

Payment of Court Costs, Fines, and Fees

For court costs, fines, and fees that have been ordered to be paid to the Clerk of the Circuit Court, we offer payment in full online or by mail.

  • To Pay Online - To pay in full online, simply follow the prompts to view your case(s), see which cases are eligible for online payment, and decide what to pay.
  • To Pay by Mail - To pay in full by mail, send a check or money order (made payable to Clerk of the Circuit Court), along with the case number(s), to:

Payments to Probation 

If you are currently paying your court costs, fines, and fees to the Department of Corrections or Probation Services, continue to make your payments to those agencies until directed by the court to do otherwise.

Payment on Cases Referred to Collection Agency

NOTE: If your citation or case has already been referred to a collection agency, you must contact the collection agency directly to make payment or to establish a payment agreement.

Refer to any correspondence you have received to verify the collection agency and contact information. You can also look up your case online to determine which agency it was referred to.
